Blogging From the iPad
Reading through several technology blogs and looking for inspiration for my next tech rant. Easier said than done, especially when there’s so much going on in the industry.
This is my first attempt blogging with my new iPad, which I swore I’d never purchase, as I have always been a pc user. As an IT professional, I try to stick to Microsoft products, but have recently been playing with Linux more, especially since I use Linux based web servers.
As far as me saying I’d never use Apple products, it was mostly because I felt Mac users were all snobs. I finally broke down and bought an iPod when I started running, then had to have an iPhone after testing out one that my friend bought. Now I have 3 Apple products, but wouldn’t consider myself a snob just yet.
For the most part, I just love anything tech, and always up for the next new gadget. I always try to read up on new products and learn how to configure them, as I always have a client needing me to set something up for them, as no one ever reads a manual. I’ll have to admit that I don’t either.
So, am I a Mac or pc guy? I won’t swear allegiance to either side, as each has their own strengths and weaknesses and I enjoy using them all. I would like to stay with ubuntu that I use on my hacker laptop, but I can’t comfortably run my web development software with it.
What do you use? I would be interested to hear more. One thing I have found today while trying to blog with word press is that I can’t drag and drop, and I may need to invest in a Bluetooth keyboard to type faster.
I may just stick to blogging with my laptop, but it is nice to have the option to update the site with the iPad.
